Keep our rights during COVID-19 crisis

Neurodivergent Labout joins other disabled people’s organisations in objecting to
the sweeping new powers that the government has given itself and the potential impact this will have on our rights and our lives.

The new measures in the Coronavirus act limits the rights of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
(SEND), remove councils’ duty to provide social care and restrict the rights of people in mental distress.

We ask the Labour Party to thoroughly scrutinise governments proposals and to oppose those which restrict our right to the care we need and put us in danger.

 We ask local councils to commit to maintaining social care and the government to fund them to do so.
