The May 20201 Queen’s Speech:
- did not reverse the under-funding and privatisation of social care that has left many neurodivergent people without the support they need
- delayed and prevaricated over banning ‘conversion therapy’, and so failed to protect LGBT+ people; these abhorrent practices are also used as a basis of abusive ‘therapies’ aimed at neurodivergent people
- announced legislation imposing Voter Identification (ID), creating an extra hurdle of obtaining ID obstruct people who find such processes difficult, which includes many neurodivergent people.
