Neurodivergent Labour welcomes the scrapping of the provisions in the Coronavirus Act that allowed councils to renege on their care obligations via ‘easements’.
This is a victory for neurodivergent and other disabled campaignerss who have loudly objected to ‘easements’ over the last year.
However, provisions remain in place that allow education authorities to not meet the needs of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / Additional Learning Needs, and other government policies continue to discriminate against and endanger neurodivergent and other disabled people.
ND Labour will build on this win by pressing for further change. Please join us.
